Meeting was held at the Christian Family Baptist Church and was called to order at 7:34 PM by President Gabe Lara.

Minutes for the Apr. 15, 2025 meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer’s report was read and approved. Linda answered a question raised at the last meeting, about auto pay contributions to our checking account. It can only be done if you have an account at Security Service. You might be able to do a transfer from your bank to ours but you would need to check with your bank.

Old and New Business

Tony Vasquez and Jesse Garcia, representatives from Bexar County Public Works, were there to discuss what could be done about the issue of installing the mini-roundabouts that had been previously proposed as there was a lack of community interest at the last meeting. After some additional discussions, they were recommending asphalt speed tables with a solar light at each. They are approximately 10 feet in width. There are currently some on 36th street close to Bandera Rd. A study would be done as to where they would be placed and then they would need a petition approving their installation by 10 properties on each proposed street. Mr. Vasquez will request a study be done. We suggested that they look at all streets coming into Coolcrest from Grosenbacher and Yellow Birch by the Amhurst subdivision. They also need to look at Tallowood as it is a cut through also.

Mr. Garcia then explained the widening of Grosenbacher to 4-5 lanes with a shared pathway and sidewalks. Construction to start in 2028 with a 2 year completion. They need to acquire some property but it shouldn’t affect Coolcrest properties. An interactive project map can be found at bexarpublicworks.org.

We requested that the line dividing the lanes at the entrance to the subdivision from Potranco be re-striped. Mr. Vasquez will submit a work order.
